Membership Benefits

On payment of subscription fees, members are entitled to admission to all club meetings and activities. As affiliates of the RHS, we also have the following benefits as a club…

  • One free visit for up to 55 people to either, Rosemoor, Hyde Hall, Harlow Carr, Wisley or Trebah.
  • Free advice from RHS experts on all aspects of horticulture ·
  • Free copy of the groups and regional spring newsletter
  • Free entry to various RHS competitions
  • Free access to the Lindley library
  • A free copy of "The Garden", the RHS magazine.

Should we ever wish to hold a club show there are various medals and stationary available and we are entitled to use the RHS logo on prize cards etc.
Optional benefits including discounted tickets to Chelsea and various other flower shows, special rates on insurance, garden visits etc are available on payment of a top-up fee .
As members of the Gloucestershire Federation of Garden Societies, we are covered for public liability and have access to their list of approved speakers.

Members often bring their own plants to sell to each other. We do not take any share of the profit. If you would like to sell plants, please bring them carefully priced and labelled, with two labels- one with the name of plant and price and one with your name and price of plant. A committee member will then collect the second label when someone buys your plant- so we know how much money you need to receive.

We also have copies of the RHS Monthly Magazine available. They can be borrowed free of charge.

The mobile library, which stops in Cranham every other Tuesday, also has a healthy collection of Gardening Books. A schedule of times is available on Cranham notice boards.

Obviously, the fewer cars we use the better. If you would like to get a lift to the Village Hall, please contact Daphne or Barbara on the numbers below, or see them at the meetings. They will be happy to try and put you in touch with someone who could help.

If you have a spare seat for the trips, please let Daphne know on the number below. Similarly, if you would like a lift, please let her know and she will try to put you in touch with someone.

No guarantees!

If you would like further details about any of the trips, please contace Carla on the number below.
