Learn Spanish...

This course has been designed for adults wanting to communicate properly with Spanish speakers.

Sandra has been teaching and developing this course since 2003. Students learn how to build sentences rather than to memorise or do exercises. Lesson time is devoted to speaking since this builds confidence, competence and fluency and more can be covered through speaking than writing.

All notes are supplied and written translations are given for consolidation between lessons. The first term also acts as a complete course in itself, for those who just want to be able to say what they want to say, when shopping, dining or travelling.

What past students have said about this unique style of teaching: "Sandra makes learning Spanish very enjoyable and very productive." " She concentrates on what is essential." "The lessons were no pressure, just pleasure!" "It has given me the confidence to try to actually speak Spanish."

Try a lesson! Phone Sandra Hosler 01452 863534 or email sandra@able2be.co.uk

We have moved on from badgers to moles, and have been advised that wind-turbines are the ultimate deterrent. Has anybody any other suggestions ?

A Big Thank You...
Thank you to all those who gave so generously at Barb's memorial service and through Philip Ford funeral directors.

The monies received exceeded £2100.00 and has now been distributed between those charities and good causes that were close to Barb's wishes.

We know that the funds are being used in a way that she would have approved of and that will benefit many for years to come.

Again many thanks from Ken, Ian, Nicki, Jill and Jon

Local Guides...

I am putting together a list of good local restaurants and also hope to include a few reviews in each email.
If you have a favourite pub or restaurant you think is worth mentioning please let me know and I will include it on the Cranham.net "recommended" list.

If you can write a short review then even better.

Also, if you have been somewhere that isn't so good I will also include these.

REVIEWS

The Balti Spice in Gloucester Street, Stroud

Really nice Indian food...an unusual menu with the expected curry house fayre but also some more exotic dishes that I hadn't heard of.
Good vegetarian selection too.
Service pleasant - considerate and friendly but not 'in your face.'
We didn't book (party of 6 on a Tuesday evening) but I would imagine you'd need to at the weekend.

A good place to eat in Gloucester City Centre?

Is it almost impossible to find a good place to eat in Gloucester City Centre? - or am I wrong? - please tell me...
The only place that comes to mind is Prezzo - 46 Southgate Street 01452 414022 - Part of a national chain but the few times I have been there I have found it to be surprisingly good - an oasis of quality in this City.
